Therapy for pre-teens, teens
and young adults
Adolescence is a time of incredible growth and change that can also bring unique challenges for teens and their families. Tweens and teens are navigating emotional and social shifts, dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, peer pressure, family dynamics, and academic stress. Therapy aims to help teens manage these transitions as they discover more about who they are, what they need and how to form positive social relationships with their peers, their families and adults in their life so that they can thrive as a teenager and young adult.
I have years of experience working with teens individually and in groups. I aim to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space for your teen to feel heard and empowered. As a family therapist, I also frequently work to help the whole family system improve communication and enact positive changes for everyone involved.
I love working with tweens and teens, and I incorporate their interests into our therapy sessions to help engage with them at their level and tie our work to their life.
